If you’re a Sophia Bush fan you know one thing, she loves her dogs. Yup, Sophia is an advocate about adopting pets and she started with Patch. A dog that was often seen on the set of ‘One Tree Hill’ and often seen traveling with her. He was in a lot of Instagram posts, her Snapchat stories, and he was her first rescue.
Losing a pet is never easy, the become family and clearly these two shared a special bond. Grab your tissues while you read this because, you’re going to need them.
I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday. I don’t quite have the words yet, but the condolences are coming in fast as the word has spread. Thank you to everyone who loved Patch, and is sending that love my way. He changed a lot of lives, truly. I watched this dog soothe people, heal people, help people, and make people laugh, squeal, and grin with happiness. He was one in a million. Yesterday my loved ones and I made sure to give him#PatchsVeryBestDay. And today being #NationalDogDay feels like such a sweet coincidence. I think he’d like that. Thank you P. You are so missed. ❤️✨🙏🏼
In his honor I’d like to encourage anyone out there who is thinking about getting a dog to rescue. Check out groups like PAWS Chicago Rescue,Wags and Walks, NKLA, or search animal rescue centers in your hometown. I promise, it’ll make your life better. (credit)
Rest in peace Patch.

NYDN- The last surviving search dog that sniffed out Ground Zero for trapped survivors after the 9/11 terrorist attacks has died. Bretagne, a 16-year-old golden retriever, was euthanized Monday at a Texas veterinary hospital, fire officials said. Owner and volunteer firefighter Denise Corliss is “distraught” over Bretagne’s death, Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Capt. David Padovan told the Daily News. “She had lived longer and accomplished more than anybody,” Padovan said.
Although I usually focus on celebrity gossip and making light of situations, I do like to take a little break.
So many heroes of all different shapes, sizes, races, and even species came to help search through the rubble of 9/11. Thank you Bretagne for your service.

Wow, that is all I can say. I think when ti comes to remembering September 11th and all of the horror that happened that day, it is also important to remember all of the heroic acts. As people ran out of the buildings while they still had time, men and women ran into the buildings to help innocent people find their way out. So many lives were lost that day, but so many lives were saved from the courageous acts that occurred from firefighters, police officers, doctors, and even normal every day civilians that wanted to step in and help.
After these terrible acts happened, people from all over the country came to help with search and rescue. Bretagne was on her first search and rescue mission and came all the way from Texas to try and save as many lives as possible.
Many of the dogs since 9/11 have passed away due to age and even some illness due to working with all of the debris and smoke. Bretagne is the last known search and rescue dog to still be alive from that horrific act of terror. Homedog just turned 16 and had an awesome day!
Just so everyone can see, below is a picture posted of her now, and a picture from 9/11.
Check out the video below
So even though it is absolutely okay to feel sadness on a day such as this, it is important to remember these heroic acts. The people and the pooches that put their lives on the line to save others.
Thank you every man, woman, and dog that put other lives ahead of their own. You will never be forgotten.
“My best bud & 1st born son Joe, Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me. You’ve been my kindred spirit, my unconditional friend, Thank you for carrying the weight that I could not. You taught me more about selflessness and compassion than I thought a dog could know. Thank you for always keeping the status Quo. Even the dogs at the dog park thank you for keeping the peace. Almost 15 years of adventures Joe and I’m so grateful for every minute. Rest easy now bud. Check in on us once and while would ya… You’re missed and always will be. Thx for waiting to meet my son. This family won’t be the same without you but so much stronger because of you. Rest in peace Joey. We Love You, Chad, Sarah & Baby Murray.”
This might seem like a weird post but I read this last night on Instagram and it straight up broke my heart, I cried, whatever. Losing a pet isn’t an easy thing to go through. Being a fan of ‘One Tree Hill’ for the nine years it was on air you knew how close Joe and Chad were. Well for the first six seasons since that was all that Chad was on it for.
Joe was always running around on set, hell he was even in an episode in the fifth season. It was clear that Joe was Chad’s actual buddy, not just a dog he used for show.
Reading the line that he was waiting to meet Chad’s son really got to me. Chad and his wife Sarah had a baby boy earlier this year and Joe was able to meet him if only for a few months.
All I can say his rest in peace Joe, all dogs go to heaven though so there are no worries there.
When Paris Hilton first made a name for herself in the early 2000’s there was another star right next to her doing the same, and I am not talking about Nicole Richie. Her dog Tinkerbell was really the star whenever Paris was on talk shows, red carpets, or even on the actual show The Simple Life. Let’s be real Tinkerbell was the absolute shit.
Paris announced today that her 14 year old best puppy friend passed away by saying “I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten.” That is very true. Tinkerbell you are the original purse dog and everyone will love you for it.
Rest in doggy heaven Tinkerbell, everyone knows you will always be a legend.
Say what you will about Miley Cyrus but this lady loves animals more than most people do. Well she loves her own dogs at least, I am going to assume she loves all the other animals just as much.
Miley welcomed the little fella that she named Emu Coyne with this little message to all of her fans: “Hes here and here to stay. I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I’m weird like that. It’s taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it’s irreplaceable but that’s not what I am trying to do.”
For those of you that don’t remember back in April Miley’s beloved dog was killed by a coyote while she was on tour.
Glad to see that she got a new pup though and may they have many happy years together!
If I have said this once I have said it a million times. Say what you want about Miley Cyrus but she loves her dogs more than anything. She may be crazy and always sticking out her tongue, people say she is trashy, but she loves her animals. That is something no one can argue with me because I will argue into the ground.
Last night Miley performed for a small crowd of people that had tickets to Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball that she had to miss due to snow. She promised she would make it up to Boston and she did but giving everyone who had tickets to both Jingle Ball and the Bangerz Tour a small intimate sound check.
In the video you hear her saying that Floyd was her favorite dog even though she shouldn’t be admitting that and that they always listened to Fleetwood Mac. So here is the heartfelt performance that Miley gave in honor of her dog passing away the day before. She breaks down but she does a great cover.
So I have spent enough time talking about how crazy Bieber is it is time to switch it up. This is the freaking mascot for the U.S. Olympic hockey team! Can we just talk about how cute this little puppy is? Just the happiest little Husky in the whole wide world! How can we lose with this little guy on his team?
I would score 100 points if that meant that I got to hug that puppy after every single game! Let’s just hope this little puppy brings the US a ton of luck for the games.
I know that I want to make this a celebrity blog, that is my goal but when you see something like this you have to share it.
Always keep hope.
